Reset password of sub account?
I don’t see a way to reset the password of a sub account from our master account if I don’t know the old password. We had an employee leave. I don’t know what he changed the password to. It seems my only choice is to create a new sub account and copy the assessment there, but then I lose historical data. Suggestions?
Tim,
At this time, the best way to handle this situation is to “enter” the sub-account you wish to change the password for using the Manage Sub-Accounts page. Then click the Edit Contact Information button to change the email address on the account to your own email address. Now, you can use the password reminder feature on the login page to send yourself a password reminder for the sub-account (be sure to use the sub-account ID rather than your email address when requesting the password reminder).
Now, that you have the password (check your email), you can change the password to something else.
Please note: We realize this is quite a few steps to do something simple, and we hope to remedy that in a future version of Testcraft.
Hope that helps.
Thanks Rob. That will work for now. Sorry I didn’t think of doing that.
Thanks,
Tim
