We recently installed v5.50.2845.1767 into our “production” environment. Since then, when importing questions on particular server, a questionnaire with 120 questions is getting split into groups. It seems the groups are variable since this most recent import was split into 4 groups of 28, 35, 35 and 22 questions respectively. Another question that came up was could we setup a dev database and a prod database and easily import the questions to prod from dev?

Thanks for any assistance.

Rita,

Check the “Group” column within the import spreadsheet.  Entering different values for this column will cause the question on the same rows to be placed in separate question groups upon import.  For example, if you have “Group 1” for the Group column on one question and “Group 2” for another question, they will be imported into two question groups called “Group 1” and “Group 2” respectively.  If that doesn’t explain your situation, please email me the spreadsheet and I’ll take a look at it.

We do have a Testcraft Copy Utility to move assessments and even entire accounts between databases.  Please let me know if you would like me to send you the newest version of this.  It is a .NET 1.1 Windows Forms program that can be run on any machine with access to the database server (assuming you have rights to the databases themselves).

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Rob. I will take you up on the Testcraft Copy Utility. I don’t think it’s the group colum since it imports fine when using our dev server, but I’ll email you the spreadsheet anyway.
